Peanut Butter Cookies for an autumn treat

A peanut butter cookie recipe to warm up the cool, crisp fall temperatures! Fresh baked peanut butter cookies anyone? Mmmmmm………today I, Ralphie the bunny, will share a cookie recipe, which is one of Christine’s favorites. With the cooler temps setting in during autumn, she thought that making some homemade cookies sounded like a good idea.

Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe

Without further delay, I will now share the recipe with you. Don’t those cookies look scrumptious in the photo above? Yummmmm…..Peanut Butter Round-up cookies!

1 c. shortening, softened

1 c. firmly packed brown sugar

3/4 c. sugar

2 eggs

1 c. peanut butter

2 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1 c. Quaker oats

2 c. flour

Directions:

Beat shortening and sugar together until creamy. Add eggs and peanut butter; beat well. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Stir in oats. Shape dough to form 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Press with fork to make flat. Bake at 325 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
