A couple weeks ago the weather was uncharacteristically warm for the month of November in Wisconsin. Since the weather was warm and sunny, I decided to venture out on the nature trail before the weather turned back into the cold, snowy weather typical for this time of year. Going out on the trail in November was a gift, an opportunity to venture out on my bike and enjoy the sites of the trail before Winter began to cast its cold spell all over the area. During this particular bike ride, I thought I’d have some fun trying to take a variety of self-portrait photos. I was hoping to get a good photo taken so I could update my photo on my Facebook profile. Once I got back from the trail, I sorted through my photos and decided to make a photo collage of some of the photos that I decided to keep. Taking these self-portrait photos reminded me of all those self-portrait assignments I had to do in college. Often I would try to take some pics of myself as reference instead of staring into a mirror to try to draw myself. Ahhhhh……those memories from college. An artist who aspires to become a children's book illustrator. Stays young at heart and an avid daydreamer. When the weather permits, I enjoy visiting/biking on the nature trail near my house. Visiting the trail has brought me many hours of enjoyment and relaxation. My camera is usually by my side while on the trail. I like to try to find the small and unnoticeable as subjects for my photos. And of course flowers and plant life encompass many of my subjects.
