Some more hand-stitched hearts

Heart stitching materialsI have enjoyed stitching felt hearts. There is something so warm and inviting about working with felt, maybe it’s the bright colors and softness of felt that makes it so appealing. And stitching them together is such a relaxing and rewarding activity to keep busy while the TV is on. I tend to be one who enjoys keeping busy doing something, constantly thinking of new ideas and new things to create.

Black and cream stitched heartThis year I made a few stitched hearts to send as little Valentine’s gifts. I had a hunch that my friend Danielle would like a heart made with a cream and black color theme. And she in fact was happy to get a heart made with those colors. Then I have a friend who is known as my “Glitter Friend” (aka-Glitter Gal) and she also calls me her Glitter Gal. When I was thinking about what kind of heart to make for her, I had no doubt that I needed to stitch the words, “Glitter Girl” across the front of her heart. I also made a “glitter gal” heart for myself.

Glitter Gal heartsAnd I decided to send a heart to my sister who moved away to Tennessee last year. I thought she might like a cream heart with a few mini hearts stitched onto it. Her Valentine’s package was sent out last week, so I think it may arrive at her door just in time for Valentine’s Day.
